GEOMETRY

 ORIGINS OF GEOMETRY

Just as explained in the origins of trigonometry, geometry also originated from the circle and sacred geometry. As proof of this, the Gregorian Universal System and Units of Measurement System (GUSUMS) illustrates various geometrical shapes and their properties by deriving the fruit and the seed of life by joining the points in which two or more circles intersect. The skeleton framework of the fruit of life shows this.

The Circle

The shape of the fruit of life, tree of life, and the seed of life is circular. Thus, the first geometrical shape that originated from sacred geometry is the circle.

Semi-Circle

By drawing a segment that joins opposite ends of circular sacred geometrical shapes, another shape that could be formed was the semi-circle.

Hexagon

By joining the 6 intersections that are present in all the circular sacred geometrical shapes, a perfect regular hexagon can be created from the circle.

Trapezium

The Gregorian Universal System and Units of Measurement system was also able to derive the trapezium from the circle.

3-Dimensional shapes

GUSUMS was also able to show that 3-dimensional shapes can also be depicted from the sacred geometrical shapes. The images below illustrate the sides that are visible from a 2-dimensional depiction.

Complex Geometrical Shapes

Depending on the number of circles, it was also possible to create complex geometrical shapes that combined different geometrical shapes.
